Where are you located?
We are on the South Coast of Sri Lanka, technically South East, 20 minutes east of the most southern point of the island at Dondra, the closest town is Dikwella, 10 minutes away, with the popular beach town of Hiriketiya just around the corner. What airport do I fly into?
You have the choice of flying into the countries main airport Colombo Bandaranaike (CMB), which is 2hrs 45 mins away, or the newer and closer Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, which is just one hour away.
Can beginner surfers / yogis / completely unfit people join the retreats?
Yes, we are here to help you become a better version of yourself and we cater to all levels of surfer / yogi / fitness enthusiast. It is advised that to get the most out of your holiday you should be in generally good shape before you arrive. Surfing is physically very demanding and you don’t want the first few days spent completely shattered.
How much money should I bring?
All packages include half board meals, so what you spend is ultimately up to you and how much you want to indulge yourself. To give you a guide, a beer at the bar costs 850 rupees ($2.30) a cocktail costs 2000 ($5) and a Cesar salad from our lunch menu costs 2500 ($7)
Should I bring my own surfboard?
If you have a surfboard then you should bring it as surfing on your own board in tropical water is an amazing feeling and you will learn to really know your board. Also most airlines (Srilankan) accept surfboards as part of your luggage allowance. If you don’t have a board, we have boards of all shapes and sizes, plus there are a few surf shops locally if you want to buy one.
Do I need sunscreen?
Yes! It’s 30 degrees in and out of the water all day every day. Bring some good stuff or you can always buy from our surf shop.
What is your covid-19 policy?
We go above and beyond the standards set by the government for hotels to ensure safety for our guests and staff. In case of any emergencies we have qualified first aiders on site and Asiri (private) hospital in Matara is only 20 minutes away.
